The Auntieverse began as a way to give the women who raised me the freedom to rewrite their own stories. I use AI, digital art, mixed media, and storytelling to build the Auntieverse—a place where the women who raised us get to rewrite the rules and be gloriously, unapologetically free. My work comes from Asian “auntie” culture and explores ageing, food, beauty, care, identity, and the environment through surrealism, humour, fantasy, and a little kawaii chaos. Before this, I spent nineteen years in architecture, so world-building and space are still central to how I think. The Auntieverse has grown into films, installations, sculpture, public art, talks, and brand collaborations. My work has been shown at the V&A, the Louisiana Museum of Modern Art, the Grand Palais, and Christie’s Art + Tech, and I’ve collaborated with Swatch and L’Oréal. I love projects that give culture, character, and imagination enough room to become a whole world.

I like letting the same characters move from playful short-form films into larger installations and public experiences. For commercial collaborations, I’m most interested in culture, fashion, beauty, food, hospitality, and public-space projects where a brand can participate in the Auntieverse without flattening its humour or social meaning.
