Smart Tools

One-click tools for image, video, and audio nodes on the canvas: soften texture, upscaling, lighting, camera angle, three-view diagrams, panoramas, 3×3 storyboards, plus video trimming, reframing, frame extraction, and the audio toolbox.

Smart tools are one-click actions attached to asset nodes. Select an image, video, or audio clip to refine its quality, change the viewpoint, or expand it into a storyboard. Results appear as new nodes on the canvas, and the original node stays unchanged.

1. Opening Smart Tools

Select an image, video, or audio node and click Smart tools in the node toolbar.

The menu is grouped by purpose. Tools whose names end with an ellipsis open a settings panel first. All others run as soon as you pick them.

Credits: Tools that call a model show the credit cost before running, and generation starts once you confirm. Tools that run locally in your browser are free, including Split 3×3 grid, Trim video, Reframe video, and Audio toolbox.

2. Image Tools

Image tools run on GPT Image 2.5 and Nano Banana 2.1 for refined results that stay close to the original.

Refine

ToolWhat it doesDetails
Adjust lightingRelights the imageSet key light direction, intensity, color, and rim light, with a preview before generating. The rest of the image stays unchanged.
Soften textureWashes out excess detailMade for GPT Image results that show specks, noise, and grain when enlarged. Composition, characters, and text stay intact, and the aspect ratio follows the original.
Upscale imageIncreases resolutionChoose 4K, 6K, or 8K. Good for print, posters, and large displays.

Viewpoint

ToolWhat it doesDetails
Change angleMoves the camera to a new angleDrag to set rotation, tilt, and framing (close-up, medium shot, wide angle). A cube preview shows the direction live.
Multi-angle viewsSeveral camera positions at onceNine frames show the same moment from different camera positions, with consistent characters and scenes.
Three-view diagramCharacter turnaroundFront, side, and back views aligned in one sheet. Useful for costume design and as a reference for later generations.
360° panoramaFull panoramaOutputs a 2:1 image at 4K. Useful for scene design and spatial reference.

Storyboard

ToolWhat it doesDetails
Expand to 3×3 storyboardBuilds a continuous storyboard from one imageGenerates a 3×3 storyboard sheet with a coherent story and varied shots, output at 2K.
Split 3×3 gridSplits a grid into nine imagesRuns locally and costs no credits. Each panel becomes its own image node, ready to feed into video generation.

A common combo: Use Expand to 3×3 storyboard to get a storyboard sheet, split it with Split 3×3 grid, then connect each frame to a video node as its first frame.

3. Video Tools

Frames & Clips

ToolWhat it doesDetails

Reframe videoChanges the aspect ratioCrop and scale the frame, for example from landscape to portrait, as a new MP4.
Extract frameCaptures any frameDrag the timeline to the moment you want, and fine-tune frame by frame with ←/→. The result is a high-resolution image.
